Life isn’t easy. We all have our ups and downs, and some days are just longer and harder than others. And sometimes life just throws you a curveball, that you could never prepare for, that you have to deal with, without any form of preparation or training. It could be losing your job, losing a loved one, an accident or illness.

For me it was cancer. Twice. And in between I had a premature baby. Over the course of eight years, my life was turned upside down so many times, that my head was spinning. From having to deal with a potentially deadly disease, to having an emergency cesarian, where both my life and the life of my daughter was on the line, I was thrown so far off track that I didn’t know how to handle it. I hit rock bottom. Depression, stress, despair.

We all approach life with our own struggles and victories. Your story might be very different from mine, but that doesn’t mean either of us has it any worse than the other. It all just depends on what life has handed us. But what we can - and should - talk about is how we handle the struggle. How do we overcome the adversity? How do we learn from the hard times, and grow stronger and wiser. How do we use everything we are handed, good and bad, to grow into better versions of ourselves?

That’s what I want us to talk about. That’s what I want us all to be thinking of. How can I grow into an even better person? How can I change the life of others for the better? How can I turn this little patch of earth that I call mine into a space of love, joy and understanding?

I don’t have all the answers, but I am working on it every day. I am showing up in my own life, dealing with my own problems, big and small, trying to be the love in every situation. Sometimes I fail, hard, and sometimes it just all gets too much. And that’s when everything seems to be of no use, but don’t be fooled. Even those moments can teach us something.

I would love for you to come on this journey with me. I would love to hear your story, and how you have turned your life around, and how you are inspiring others. What does showing up look like to you? What can we all do, together or individually, to steer us towards a happier path, where we are all fulfilled in a way that matters to us?

Let me know here, or send me a message here. Together we can do this. Together we can be better and feel better!
