Shipping + Handling

Thank you for considering buying from us. In order to place an order you must be at least 18 years old, or have your parents permission to shop with us, so please make sure you ask first if you need to as we don’t want you to get into any trouble. When you place an order with us you are also accepting the terms and conditions for The Happiness Detective, for the sale and delivery of any product. We are very nice people, and we only want happy customers, so we won’t step on you or your rights in any way. And we won’t change our minds willy nilly about these things, but will inform you thoroughly and in good time of any changes to the terms and conditions.

Force Majeure

Sometimes stuff happens, that you can’t control. And even though we are very optimistic and resourceful here at The Happiness Detective, there are things we can’t help. In legal speak it is called force majeure, and if it makes it impossible for us to fulfil our promise we will be released from the agreement we have with you. Examples of such events are: government action or omission, new or amended legislation, conflict, embargo, fire or flood, sabotage, accident, war, natural disasters, strikes or lack of delivery from suppliers. The force majeure also includes government decisions that affect the market negatively and products, for example, restrictions, warnings, ban, etc.

But as we said, we are very optimistic about things here at The Happiness Detective, so we don’t see that any of these things will be a problem.

We really appreciate that you want to buy from us, and we can’t wait for you to receive your items, although, until we have seen the money - Show me the money! - all items are considered ours. We will charge you the amount that was given at the time of the order. Shipping costs and any payment fees will be given before you confirm your purchase. We believe in full disclosure here at The Happiness Detective.

We use Stripe to handle all payments, and all your information is protected through them. We wouldn’t dream of storing your card info, and all payments are handled using SSL encryption. If you would like more information on Stripes terms and conditions please have a look at the Stripe website.

Local Taxes

We love being part of a global community, and ship internationally. If there are any local charges (sales tax or customs duty or the like) in your area, we ask you kindly to make sure you pay these, as we cannot cover them.  Again, we don’t want you to get into trouble with anyone.
